A few weeks ago, my friend had a darling baby girl.
Of course I jumped at the chance to make a quilt with my stash of Vintage Modern fabric. I made it using 2 mini charm packs which are squares that are pre cut to be 2.5x2.5 inches instead of the regular 5x5 inch squares. I also used a white jelly roll and cut up some squares (2.5x2.5 as well) to lighten up the quilt and then added some borders.... I loved how it turned out! So simple, but so cute!
I honestly love this color combo so much! DARLING!
I am still working on getting my hand quilting straight so don't look too close!
I have quite the stash of this lovely fabric... Now I just gotta come up with some more fun ways to use it!
What are some of your favorite fabrics that are hiding in your stash??
Ok, we seriously have the same taste in fabric... I wanted to use this so bad for the zig zag quilt, but the other matched my living room! Love how it turned out, especially the borders! You always do such a great job!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful. Great job!

Beautiful! I am also working on a quilt with this lovely fabric!!!
ReplyDeleteI made a quilt using this fabric combined with Moda's Ruby.
ReplyDeleteCould you please give clearer instructions? This is perfect for my soon to be born granddaughter, Alexandra! And where do I get the material? Forgive me but it's been years since I did a quilt.
ReplyDeleteI would love to make a quilt like this, however I am a beginner quilter! :) Can you tell me approximately what size your quilt is? How much fabric do I need for the borders and backing? Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated!

I want that border fabric. Can you tell me where to get it or the name of it or something? It is not the Moda Ruby as someone suggested. It is beautiful as is your quilt!
